The cause of the water pooling around the base of the staircase.

With numerous faults identified from the base of the stairs to the curb outlet, it was decided that the best solution was to renew this section of pipework instead of making spot repairs within the existing system. Using a demo to cut a trench through the concrete garage, driveway and footpath.

SEWER BOUNDARY SHAFT REPAIR

After clearing the blockage and using CCTV to identify damage to the boundary trap and lead-off junction, the locator was used to pinpoint the pipework.

After identifying the pipework requiring excavation, vegetation was cleared to enable the excavator to dig up the area.

Started excavation works.

Using the excavator to dig as deep as possible, the boundary trap reached over 2.5 meters in depth and was surrounded by footings.

Performed hydro excavation to safely expose the boundary trap, ensuring the footings remain intact.

To minimize disruption for homeowners, we expose all the existing earthenware pipes, enabling us to replace them with PVC as quickly as possible so that the sewer can be used again promptly.

New PVC pipework has been installed, enabling owners to use the sewer as usual. The next step involves ensuring the drain is properly bedded and risers are installed up to ground level.

Now that all the pipework has been installed and an inspection with the VBA has been completed, we can begin backfilling.

The area was backfilled, rubbish removed from the site, and landscaping completed to ensure the work area was left clean and tidy for our customers.
